ABOUT LAURIEN
HEY THERE!
Laurien grew up in an area just outside Houston, TX. She did her undergraduate work in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University where she minored in Philosophy. Laurien also has a Master’s in Theology with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Laurien loves speaking, teaching, and engaging with others on the topics of theology, the Bible, how life intersects with our beliefs, what it means to have doubts, and a host of other things. She is passionate about Biblical Literacy—which is a fancy way of saying she loves helping people understand the Bible.
As someone who has experienced her fair share of doubt when it comes to faith, Laurien is immensely empathetic with others who are questioning or trying to figure out what to do when a previously very black and white system now seems a lot more grey. Regardless of where you are on your faith journey, you are warmly welcome in this space. We hope you will join us in one or more of the various ways we have to connect!
